The Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter (SM-LAC) of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, was chartered on March 9, 1997 in downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia. Seventy-eight Sorors (63 reclaimed and 15 active) answered the call to establish the 910th chapter in the sorority. Dr. Deborah C. Thomas, Southern Regional Director (1995-1999), presided over this memorable event.
In addition tot he Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter, there are eight (8) other alumnae chapters of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated in the metropolitan Atlanta area. SM-LAC works collaboratively with its sister chapters to implement an aggressive publice service agenda and effectuate positive social change.

Membership Intake Statement
"We appreciate your heartfelt interest in gaining membership in our illustrious sorority. At this time however, the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter is not entertaining membership in-take. Rest assured that if the chapter's position changes, a notice announcing the date, time, and location for the official "RUSH" activity will be posted on this website. Accordingly, interested individuals are encouraged to check back periodically for updates regarding membership in-take and other chapter activities.
