The Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter continues to be recognized for excellence in service to the community and in Delta Sigma Theta. SM-LAC was presented the M.A.D.D. 2009 Outstanding Community Organization Award. The chapter received the Alumnae Chapter of the Year award in 2010 at the 50th National Convention in New Orleans, Louisana, in 2009 at the 42nd Regional Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and in 2006 at the 48th National Convention, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, SM-LAC was awarded the Reclamation and Retention Award in 2009 at the 42nd Regional Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the distinguished Legacy of Achievement Award in Educational Development in 2006 at the 48th National Convention.
