About SM-LAC
Chapter History

The Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter (SM-LAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, was chartered on March 9, 1997 in downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia. Seventy-eight Sorors (63 reclaimed and 15 active) answered the call to establish the 910th chapter in the sorority. Dr. Deborah C. Thomas, Southern Regional Director (1995-1999), presided over this memorable event.
In addition to the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter, there are eight (8) other alumnae chapters of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated in the metropolitan Atlanta area. SM-LAC works collaboratively with its sister chapters to implement an aggressive public service agenda and effectuate positive social change.
