You have landed on the official website for the  "Hottest" Alumni Step Show event hosted by the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter.  YES...this is our 6th Annual All-Alumni Step Show.  Greetings!  The members of the Stone Mountain-Lithonia   Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated  invite you to our 6th Annual All-Alumni Step Show.  The show   was held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Georgia  International Convention Center (GICC), directions.  Our theme this year is "The Divine Nine" and we are asking  competing teams to base their shows around any superhero  (with powers or gadgets).  These superheroes may come from  comics, movies, cartoons, other television shows, or be a  team's unique creation. Because the step show has grown in  size and reputation each year, we are glad to offer increased  prize monies to the winning teams: $2000.00 for 1st place   (male and female) and $1000.00 for 2nd place (male and    female).  Similar to past years, at 5:00 PM on March 31, 2007, guests can  begin mingling, enjoying music, and patronizing the variety of  vendors (checkbook, cash, and credit cards), concessions, and  cash bar.  At 6:00 PM, doors to the show will open, with the  actual competition beginning at 7:00 PM. Once again we are  including the official on-site after party, which immediately  follows the competition.  Vendors, concessions, and the cash  bar will remain open until the after party ends at 2:00 AM.  Among the community programs that will benefit from every  penny of the step show proceeds are:       �� Delta Academy: Mentoring program for girls ages 11-14.         In 2005, we had over 30 young ladies in our program.      �� Adopt-a-School: Providing resources to after-school          programs.      �� Scholarship: This year, we awarded $22,000 in scholarships          to local area high school seniors.           �� Domestic Violence Awareness: Facilitating outreach          seminars and making yearly donations          �� Economic Development: Teaching teens how to start their           own businesses and save money. We also provide          workshops that educate the community on better use of          their financial resources.      �� Political Awareness: Providing Town Hall Meetings for the          public to express their views to public officials whom we          invite to address the community.  We also have at least          two annual voter registration drives.      �� Physical and Mental Health – Hosting an annual health fair          for the community, which features booths and displays          covering over 30 health care issues and provides          screenings for everything from AIDS/HIV to diabetes.
